Clevedon students under Chinese swine flu quarantine

FOUR pupils from Clevedon Community School have been put under a swine flu quarantine in Beijing. The group have been holed-up in a hotel room since Thursday after fears they were exposed to the H1N1 virus on a flight out to the country.

Three people on the trip have since been diagnosed with the illness, which has killed 29 UK residents.Pupils were hurried back to their rooms on a trip to the Great Wall of China.

They are in the Chinese capital as part of a programme to learn about Chinese culture and language. It is thought the quarantine is affecting more than 100 teachers and pupils from the UK and US.
