Delays flight

Thousands of travelers and holidaymakers faced disruption at Larnaca Airport today as Swiss Port staff members staged a wildcat walkout.Workers say they are unhappy with manning levels which they branded inadequate, during the busiest period of the year as thousands of tourist’s jet in for summer vacations.

The strike, which started at 07:30 am and ended at noon, affected services of 11 flights from most airlines flying to and from Cyprus.The stoppage affected arrivals from three different cities in Russia and four departures of Cyprus Airways to London, Athens, Paris and Frankfurt.Even though services are now nearly back to normal, those due to travel are advised to check with airlines for the latest information.
