Two Chengdu-Nyingchi flights daily

Air China, the country's biggest carrier, will add one scheduled flight between Chengdu and Tibet's Nyingchi each day in late July to meet the demand of the peak tourist season. The added flight CA 4295/6 operates every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday beginning on July 4. From July 21, it will be operated every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday on the original basis. In late July, there will be two flights linking Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, and Nyingchi every day.

The added flight leaves the Chengdu Shuangliu Airport at around 7:00 a.m. and arrives at the Nyingchi Milin Airport at 9:00 a.m., and then flies back to Chengdu at 10:00.a.m. Now, the seat occupancy rate of the Chengdu-Nyingchi flight is over 80 percent, thus making the route the second golden route to enter Tibet following the Chengdu-Lhasa flight.

Nyingchi Prefecture, at an average altitude of 3,000 meters, is located on the lower reaches of the Brahmaputra River flowing in southeastern Tibet. With a humid climate and beautiful scenery, Nyingchi has become a tourist destination for domestic and foreign travelers.
