Japan Airlines already offers a premium economy option on flights from Tokyo Narita to its main gateways in Europe London, Moscow, Paris, Frankfurt and Amsterdam as well as Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco in the US.The carrier recently carried out a 'shades closed' exercise in an attempt to reduce energy consumption by keeping its aircraft interiors cool and reducing the need for air conditioning.
