Flights are cancelled

A massive winter storm in the northeast is causing cancellations and delays at Orlando International Airport today, an airport spokeswoman said.Seventy flights scheduled for Friday between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. were cancelled because of the snow, which blanketed airports in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and elsewhere.

Thirty-seven were arriving flights, said spokeswoman Carolyn Fennel. Thirty-three were departures.About 100 flights were delayed. There may be more flights delays and cancellations tomorrow, depending on how quickly airports are able to dig out, Fennell said. The key for anyone is to check with the airlines, she said.
