Flights to New York

he Greenbrier Valley Airport will soon offer direct flights to New York and Atlanta. An agreement between the Greenbrier Resort and Delta will open up daily flights to Atlanta's Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and New York' LaGuardia. Greenbrier Valley Airport manager Jerry O'Sullivan said he expects the flights to be year round. The new service will begin on June 10. That's just in time for a variety of changes that are coming to the Greenbrier Resort in the spring and summer of 2010.

We're just thrilled, said O'Sullivan, and we've been anticipating this for some time as Mr. Justice' plan comes together for the Greenbrier. The airport is currently undergoing several million dollars worth of renovations. They are expanding the parking and working on the runway to help accommodate the increased traffic. Even though the flights won't begin for a couple months, they can be booked immediately.
