Budget airline Ryanair is to launch daily flights to Bydgoszcz in northern Poland from London and Birmingham three times a week in the end of March, the company said in a communiqué.Ignacy Paderewski Airport in Bydgoszcz (PLB SA) is the only privatised international airport in Poland. 49% of its shares is controlled by a foreign investor. In 2009, the airport served over 260,000 passengers flying to London, Bristol, Dublin, Dusseldorf and Liverpool all connections operated by Ryanair and to Warsaw (Jet Air). Bydgoszcz offers charter flights to Turkey, Tunisia and Egypt. The airport’s strategic aim is to serve one million passengers in 2012.
