Flights to Iraq

Etihad Airways will commence flights from Pakistan to Iraq via Abu Dhabi on April 26, subject to government and regulatory approvals.This announcement was made by the Etihad Airways Chief Executive Officer James Hogan in a statement issued on Tuesday. He stated that Etihad will operate five return flights per week to Baghdad, by two Airbus A320 aircrafts, and will expand its operation with two additional A320 return services to a second Iraq destination ñ Erbil ñ from June 1, subject to government and regulatory approvals.

“We are committed to building and strengthening ties in our region and we are pleased that Etihad will be the first airline in the UAE to flights to Iraq,he said, adding, we expect to see strong demand on these routes, particularly from government and business travelers, as well as people from Iraq visiting family and friends around the world.
