Other flights out of South Africa to the UK and Europe were also operational on Friday.SA234 from Johannesburg to London and SA220 from Cape Town to London were running on schedule, as were SA260 from Johannesburg to Frankfurt and SA264 from Johannesburg to Munich.Flight SA237 from London to Johannesburg and SA221 from London to Cape Town were also operating as normal.Passengers flying on SA261 from Frankfurt and SA265 from Munich were scheduled to arrive back in Johannesburg on Friday.Airlines were finally given permission to travel to and from Europe on Wednesday, after volcanic ash from Iceland had settled over parts of the continent.
