New flights and hotels

The Greek island of Rhodes will see the benefit of extra flights from the UK and a number of new hotels set to open this year, the local tourist board has revealed.Low-cost airline easyJet will introduce two weekly flights to Rhodes from Liverpool from 12 June, which will operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

As well as becoming more accessible to holidaymakers, the island will provide a number of new accommodation options, including the first Sheraton property in Greece.Due to open on 1 May, the resort will comprise 401 guest rooms offering mountain, sea or garden views, as well as a piano bar, two restaurants, fitness facilities and a private beach.Also set to begin welcoming guests in May is La Marquise, a five-star complex located on the outskirts of Rhodes' old town area that includes a number of eco-friendly features such as energy-saving lights.Flights to Rhodes are also available with Aegean Airlines, bmi, Olympic Air and other carriers. cheap flights, hotels and car hire - let the journey begin!.
