Allegiant Airlines, currently McCarran International Airport’s No. 4 carrier, will add nonstop flight between Las Vegas and Minot, N.D., beginning in October.The twice-weekly flights are the third new additions from Allegiant.Last week, Allegiant announced plans for twice-a-week nonstop flight between McCarran and the Quad City International Airport, which services the communities of Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa, and Moline, East Moline and Rock Island, Ill. The flights begin Oct. 14.
On Oct. 4, Allegiant will begin twice-a-week service between Las Vegas and Pueblo, Colo.
Allegiant will operate flights between Minot International Airport and McCarran on Mondays and Friday starting Oct. 22. Flights will depart Minot at 12:10 p.m. arriving in Las Vegas at 1 p.m. Flights leaving Las Vegas will depart at 6:50 a.m. arriving in Minot at 11:30 a.m.Allegiant connects Las Vegas with smaller regional markets, as well as Los Angeles, the Phoenix area and Florida.For the first seven months of the year, Allegiant has flown almost 1.2 million passengers in and out of McCarran, an increase of 3.6 percent compared with the same seven months of 2009.
