Kingfisher Airlines to start flights from Delhi to Ludhiana

Private sector carrier Kingfisher Airlines today launched daily direct flights on the New Delhi Ludhiana New Delhi route.The launch made Kingfisher the only private airline to offer services to Ludhiana in Punjab. In May, national carrier Air India had launched daily flights to the city.
A press release from the airline said the flights between New Delhi and Ludhiana are being operated as Kingfisher Red service its low cost offering.

The Kingfisher Red service features complimentary food and a choice of beverages, reading material, frequent flier privileges and multiple check in options.The flight IT 4361 will depart from New Delhi at 1.45 pm and arrive at Ludhiana at 2.45 pm. From Ludhiana, flight IT 4362 will depart at 3.15 pm and arrive at 4.15 pm in New Delhi.This new direct flight will offer travelers from Ludhiana a one-stop connection to Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Indore via New Delhi, thanks to the unparalleled route network of Kingfisher Airlines, Mr. Manoj Chacko, Executive Vice President-Commercial, Kingfisher Airlines Limited said.He said it would also offer travellers from Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur and Ahmedabad a one-stop connection to flight to Ludhiana via New Delhi.Besides catering to the small and medium enterprises segment, this new route is expected to cater to the needs of various industries like the garments industry, sports goods industry, bicycle manufacturers, steel rolling mills and the like, he added.
