Flights between Chattanooga and Detroit add by Delta

The airline will flight nonstop from Chattanooga to Detroit starting Tuesday, linking a new auto manufacturing hub with a historic one.Chattanooga airport spokeswoman Christina Siebold told the Chattanooga Times Free Press that the airport is bolstering the service with $50,000 worth of marketing and fee waivers.The promotional campaign, paid for from the airport’s operations budget, will help get the word out about the service, while Delta receives some landing fee or terminal rent cuts.VW has about 400 people in Auburn Hills and plans to start production at its $1-billion Chattanooga assembly plant next year.
