MSU students had the chance to learn about the unique program of studying in another country at the study abroad fair on campus.Dozens of countries were represented with students who previously studied abroad, helping answer questions to those who are interested in trying out the program themselves. While the opportunity to study abroad at MSU offers unique learning lessons like how to speak a new language, like saying 'Hi! How are you?' in a country like Morocco, the Study Abroad Program offers so much more than just learning another language.
One example, here from Sweden, is that you get to know your professors here on a total different level than you do at home. So that's a really good opportunity to actually be able to discuss the professors about the subjects, says Hanna Bergland, as she is doing the study abroad program here in the United States from her home country of Sweden.Gabriel Lavin took advantage of the program by studying in Morocco. He says what he learned there will stay with him for quite some time.Seeing how complex a culture can be, how many different aspects there are, especially a place like in northern Africa there's just so much going on culturally,Lavin said. Many MSU students will have their chance to learn about these new cultures as this program at MSU continues into the future.
