Flights between Malatya, Frankfurt launched by SunExpress

SunExpress, a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Germany's Lufthansa, launched direct flights between Turkey's southeastern province of Malatya and the German city of Frankfurt on Wednesday.The flights will be once every week on Wednesdays. The Malatya-Frankfurt flights will take off at 10:55 a.m. and arrive in Frankfurt at 2 p.m. The same day, a SunExpress airliner will take off from the German city at 5 a.m. and arrive in Malatya at 9:45 a.m.

SunExpress is the market leader in charter flights between Germany and Turkey as well as one of the largest scheduled carriers between Europe and southern Turkey. Since its foundation, SunExpress has carried about 18 million passengers on more than 155,000 flights.SunExpress Assistant General Manager Hacı Say said on Wednesday that the new route would do much towards drawing Malatya and Europe closer while bringing about a new dimension to air transportation in the southeastern Anatolia region as a whole.With our flights, the arrival of Malatya expats living in Germany to their home cities will be much easier. Our aim is to increase the number of destinations from Malatya and flight frequencies in the shortest possible time,he noted.
