KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is to launch double daily service to Aalborg in Denmark on commencement of its summer schedule on 27 March 2011.After Billund and Copenhagen, Aalborg will be KLM's third destination in Denmark. KLM will also be the first carrier to offer a direct connection between Amsterdam and Aalborg.KLM will operate its flights to Aalborg using a Fokker 70 aircraft, which offers seats for 80 passengers. The Aalborg-Amsterdam flights depart daily from Aalborg at 06:25 in the morning and at 14:15 in the afternoon. The return flights depart daily at 12:15 in the afternoon and at 20:35 in the evening.

It is an excellent new destination within the KLM network. Introducing a scheduled service to this third destination in Denmark will strengthen our position in the Scandinavian market. And in addition this is the first time Aalborg connects with a hub outside Scandinavia. KLM previously announced an increase of capacity in the European network as per the summer schedule 2011.From Schiphol, transfer passengers originating from Aalborg can continue their journey to 78 European destinations and 74 intercontinental destinations with only one stop in Amsterdam. The 74 intercontinental destinations are made up of 21 destinations in North America, 10 in Mid- and South America, 25 in Africa and the Middle East and 18 destinations in Asia.
