Frontier to start flights to Milwaukee-St. Petersburg

Frontier Airlines said Thursday it launched nonstop flights between Milwaukee and St. Petersburg, Fla., replacing flights that had gone to Tampa, Fla.The airline said it will run six flights a week between Milwaukee and St. Petersburg Clearwater International Airport.

In another move aimed at beach-starved Midwesterners, Frontier plans to start twice-weekly nonstop flights in January between St. Petersburg and Omaha, Neb.Frontier, a Republic Airways Holdings Inc. subsidiary, also started flying Thursday between Austin, Texas, and Kansas City, Mo. Frontier said it's an important business route for employees of financial and software companies.
