Malaysia Airlines adds flights from Adelaide to Kuala Lumpur

Malaysia Airlines announced the addition of six weekly nonstop flights from Adelaide to Kuala Lumpur to meet growing demand for flights to and from Malaysia.The flights taking effect from 27 March 2011 will add on to the current four weekly flights.The airline said it also plans to adjust the arrival times in Kuala Lumpur to offer flyers more convenient connections to more destinations.

Three weekly afternoon flights will depart from Adelaide at 3pm and three morning flights will be added leaving Australia from 9am.The new services will offer better flight schedules and greatly increase connectivity to a wide range of global destinations such as the UK and Europe, India, China and Southeast Asian countries, Australia, New Zealand and South West Pacific’s Malaysia Airlines Regional Senior Vice President Ignatius Ong said.As the preferred carrier, we want to provide our customers with connectivity to their final destinations easily, speedily and conveniently.Mr Ong said Adelaide customers would also benefit from the additional flights with increased accessibility to Malaysia.Customers will enjoy more than 40,000 extra seats between Adelaide and Kula Lumpur,Mr Ong added.Malaysia Airlines will use a B777-200 aircraft to cater the six weekly services.
