Turkish Airlines to launchs flights to Washington

Turkey's national air carrier, Turkish Airlines starts direct flights between Istanbul and Washington on Saturday.THY's first ever flight to Washington was attended by the President of the Executive Board of THY Hamdi Topcu and many journalists.THY's flights will take place between the Istanbul Ataturk Airport and Dulles International Airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays in Airbus 330 passenger jets.

Two-way tickets purchased before December 31, 2010 for flights taking place before March 31, 2011 will cost 751 USD.On the other hand, THY's first flight from Washington will arrive in Istanbul's Ataturk Airport on Sunday.THY's jet from Washington will bring passengers, including eight members of the U.S. Congress and 20 native American leaders to Istanbul.The members of the U.S. Congress will be received by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan while the 20 native American leaders will meet with Turkish State Minister Zafer Caglayan on November 8.Washington is THY's third destination in the United States after New York and Chicago.
