Flights to Orlando launched by AirTran Airways May 27

AirTran Airways is adding a second daily nonstop flight every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from Harrisburg International Airport to Orlando International Airport starting May 27, HIA announced today.AirTran now has one daily nonstop flight from HIA to Orlando every day at 10:58 a.m. The new second flights will depart at 5:41 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, increasing the total number of weekly nonstop flights from HIA to Orlando from seven to 10.

The current roundtrip fare from Harrisburg to Orlando is $330 per passenger, based on a flight departing from HIA on Wednesday, March 2, for $208 and returning for $122 on Wednesday, March 9. The standard fare does not include all taxes and baggage fees.The expanded service is just for the summer months.On May 1 HIA will lose its daily nonstop flights by AirTran from HIA to Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, said HIA spokesman Scott Miller.
