Spirit Airline to start flights to Myrtle Beach

Spirit Airlines will soon offer flights from Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in south western Pennsylvania to Myrtle Beach, S.C.Airport officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday morning to mark the first Myrtle Beach flight.Spirit began offering flights from the same airport to another popular vacation destination, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. in February.

Spirit flights to Myrtle Beach will depart and arrive on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday each week. The Fort Lauderdale flights are offered the same days.Arnold Palmer Regional Airport is in Unity Township, about 45 miles east of Pittsburgh. All Spirit Airlines flights from the airport use Airbus 319 aircraft.
