Flights between Australia and New Zealand have resumed and are running on schedule after the ash cloud from the Chilean volcano had largely dispersed.Australian airlines today said they had experienced no delays in schedules and that services were running between all Australian and New Zealand cities.
We're all back on track and all scheduled flights are running at this stage,a Qantas spokeswoman said.Jetstar had two flights between Auckland and Wellington delayed early this morning, but a spokesman for the airline said they was expected because the ash cloud had not completely dispersed over Wellington. He said services were now flying in and out of the New Zealand capital.Virgin Blue said all its services across the Tasman were running as scheduled.Thousands of Australians had their travel plans thrown into disarray earlier this month when the ash cloud from the Puyehue volcano drifted across southern Australia and New Zealand.Ash continues to spew from the volcano, which has raised concerns that air travellers could expect more delays. The airlines said they were monitoring weather patterns and were not aware of any looming disruptions.
