Qantas cancels flights to NZ

Qantas will cancel all flights in and out of New Zealand on Friday due to the ash cloud still lingering from a Chilean volcano.A decision was made late on Thursday to cancel the flights because the airline deemed it was still not safe to fly, a spokesman said.

Qantas flights to Tasmania resumed late on Thursday.Virgin cancelled more than 30 services on Thursday, including all flights to and from Tasmania.Tiger Airways has operated to all destinations.
