At least two United Airlines flights scheduled to arrive late Friday in Sacramento were affected by a computer outage that grounded flights from San Francisco to Washington, D.C.The airline confirmed the computer glitch, which also affected its website, on Twitter. Long lines and frustrated would-be passengers packed Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles and San Francisco international airports major hubs for United Airlines.
Two flights scheduled to arrive about 11:45 p.m. Friday in were canceled, stranding Sacramento-bound passengers at O’Hare in Chicago and La Guardia in New York City, according to the Sacramento airport system’s website. However, other flights, including those from Denver and Los Angeles, arrived as scheduled.United’s departures from Sacramento remained on schedule.It’s unclear how many flights have been affected and how long the computer outage will continue.
