Airline will add up to eight flights by Nov. 16

Just three days after announcing the transfer of those destinations out of Long Beach, airline carrier Allegiant on Tuesday announced four additional nonstop flights between Las Vegas and Long Beach beginning Sept. 1, and an additional four nonstop flights on Nov. 16.We are excited to announce additional service between Long Beach and Las Vegas,Allegiant Travel Co. President Andrew C. Levy said in a written statement.These flights give our Southern California and Southern Nevada residents more opportunities to take advantage of Allegiant's low fares and nonstop flights between two exciting destinations.

The new flights starting in September will operate eight times a week between McCarran International Airport and Long Beach Airport.And when the new flights start in November, Allegiant will offer a total of 12 flights to Sin City every day except Tuesday. Flights on Monday and Thursday will increase to two flights a day and Friday and Sunday to three flights a day.The news comes after Allegiant on Saturday announced it will move two of its three flights out of Long Beach and to Los Angeles beginning mid-November.

The airline will move its Idaho Falls and Bellingham, Wash., flights to Los Angeles International Airport on Nov. 17 and 18 respectively.It began three weekly flights to Bellingham, just south of Vancouver, British Columbia, in July 2010, and twice- weekly trips to Idaho in October.Allegiant officials said that the shuffle gives travelers additional options.Allegiant is expected to continue operating its flights to Colorado Springs.
