University of Wyoming military veteran students have an
opportunity to study abroad during the 2012 academic year.UW's International Studies Program has received a grant that will be administered through the Veterans Services Center for two UW veteran students to receive up to $7,500 each to study abroad next year. One scholarship will be awarded for the spring 2012 semester and the second scholarship will be given for the summer/fall session.
To be eligible, the student must be a veteran, be in the National Guard or active military duty, have sophomore standing at the time of application and have a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Dependants of veterans do not qualify.The application deadline for the spring award is Saturday, Oct. 1, and for the summer/fall 2012 session is Saturday, April 1.
