Tiger Airways resume flights to Singapore

Tiger Airways will resume flights between Singapore and Bangalore in south India from October 31.The service will launch with four flights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and tickets go on sale on Friday, Tiger said in a statement.The budget carrier had stopped flying to Bangalore last year.Meanwhile, Qantas Airways said on Friday it has extended a special fare offer to customers of the Australian arm of Tiger Airways who cannot flights due to the grounding of Tiger's Australian unit until August 1.

The fares apply to Tiger passengers who had been booked to travel until July 31, Qantas said in a statement.Tiger's Australian fleet was grounded on Saturday after Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority suspended the airline's licence over safety concerns.CASA has applied to Australia's Federal Court to extend the suspension until August 1, with the suspension remaining in place pending an order from a judge.
