The China option is a 3 week program taking place May 15th-June 5th in which students will explore Chinese culture, education, business practices and China's relationship with the US. Over the course of the program students will also have the opportunity to visit various cities and attractions such as The Great Wall of China, Olympic Stadium Park, Tiananmen Square, Peking Opera, and Forbidden City in Beijing, Yu Yuan Garden and East Pearl Tower in Shanghai, and the Tea Museum, Xixi Wetland, and various tours in Hangzhou. In addition to seeing the sites in China, students will experience a wide range of classes, some of which include Chinese language, Calligraphy, Tea Culture, Chinese Medicine, Tai Chi and Health Care.
The United Kingdom option will take place July 29th-August 9th and will explore British children's literature and the fantasy sites that exist in the works of Lewis Carroll, C.S. Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkien, among others.
Those taking advantage of this study abroad opportunity will also visit Edinburgh and the Castle, Stratford, London, Westminster Abbey, and the Tower of London. This opportunity is open to anyone 18 years or older.
