Cebu Pacific to increase flights to Beijing

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific is increasing its flights to Beijing, China to meet growing passenger demand.In a statement, Cebu Pacific said it will flights to Beijing from Manila four times weekly starting January 7, 2012.The airline currently flies thrice weekly to Beijing and Guangzhou, and daily to Shanghai in mainland China. Its greater China operations cover daily flights to Taipei from Manila; up to six daily flights to Hong Kong from Manila, Clark and Cebu; and 11 weekly flights to Macau from Manila and Clark.

China is the next growth area for Cebu Pacific,” VP for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog said, noting that Cebu Pacific saw a 30% growth in mainland China passengers in the third quarter of this year.Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific is cutting fares to China and Taipei by as much as 63% to P1,488 in a seat sale on October 21 to 23 or until seats last.The discounted seats are for travel from January 1 to March 31, 2012.The airline is also holding a domestic seat sale for travel from December 1, 2011 to February 29, 2012. Up for grabs are P388 seats from Cebu to Dumaguete; P488 seats from Cebu to Pagadian, Surigao, Ozamiz and Dipolog; P588 seats from Cebu to Butuan, and from Manila to Cebu, Dumaguete and Roxas.Passengers going to Dipolog, Pagadian and Surigao from Manila can also buy P888 seats.
