More PIA flights cancelled

PIA on Friday cancelled five international and seven domestic flights due to non-availability of planes and technical faults, sources said.The international flights which were cancelled included PK-208 from Dubai to Karachi, PK-207 from Karachi to Dubai, PK-225 from Karachi to Masqat, PK-226 from Masqat to Karachi and PK-1027 Karachi to Jeddah, according to the sources. Similarly, as per sources, flights for domestic destinations cancelled included PK-158 from Dadu to Karachi, PK-157 Karachi to Dadu, PK-351 Peshawar to Karachi, PK-155 Karachi to Kundhan Wari, PK-156 Kundan Wari to Karachi, PK-660 Islamabad to Peshawar and PK-661 from Chitral to Islamabad.

Sources said that several domestic and international flights of PIA faced massive disruptions across the country due to shortage of aircrafts. Thousands of passengers were stranded at various destinations at major airports across the country. However, authorities claimed that the passengers of the cancelled flights will be adjusted in other flights.
