Vietnam Airline flights to take-off

The UK will be linked direct to Vietnam for the first time this week, when Vietnam Airlines launches flights to Gatwick on 8 December. The Vietnamese national carrier will launch direct flights from both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City using a Boeing 777 aircraft. The Gatwick-Hanoi flights will operate twice a week, departing London on Tuesdays and Fridays, while services to Ho Chi Minh City will also run twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.Vietnam Airlines plans to ramp up its London flights to daily by 2015.
