Multiple airlines increase flights to Big Apple

Canadians are crossing the border in increasing numbers and now they will be doing more of it by air.The Toronto Star reports that several Canadian airlines have announced they are bumping up the number of flights they have into the Big Apple over the coming months.Air Canada is adding three times daily non-stop flights between Toronto’s Pearson airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport, beginning May 3 as well as hourly flights between Toronto and New York’s LaGuardia Airport.

WestJet Airlines won a takeoff and slot lottery late last year for LaGuardia flights, so it will be new to the LaGuardia gates.WestJet will operate seven non-stop flights each business day between Toronto and New York beginning June 4. On July 12, WestJet will increase that to eight non-stop flights each business day.Also on the New York radar - Porter Airlines, which operates flights between Toronto’s island airport and Newark, N.J., sid they will be offering two additional daily flights.
