For the first time in UL's history, a group of students will travel with the school to the People's Republic of China this summer in order to study arts,Electrical Engineering, humanities, business and architecture while learning about the Eastern culture, William Davie, an associate professor in UL's Department of Communication who is serving as the program's co
-director, said in an email Wednesday.Davie said UL Lafayette: Study Abroad in China is a four-week program that will take students across the country to visit by ancient and modern landmarks, including visits to see the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the terra cotta warriors burial site.Additionally, students will interact with other college students in Shanghai when the group visits the national university Dong Hau University. The group will also travel to Beijing, Xi'an, Suzhou, Hanzhou and Nanjing, Davie said.
