
Scholarship entrants can choose one of three ways to answer the question,How would the opportunity to work, learn, and explore from a Connect-123 international program make a difference in your life and/or in the lives of others?" Responses can be submitted, along with a basic entry form, either through written essays that are 500 words or less, digital photographs with pertinent captions, or a URL linking to video on a hosting site such as YouTube. Winners will be determined based on the strength of their responses.One recipient will be awarded $4,000, which will cover the Connect-123 program fee, airfare, and two months of housing. Should the competition receive more than 100 scholarship entries, a second recipient will be awarded a $2,500 scholarship, and over 200 entries will trigger a $1,500 award for a third recipient.The deadline for submitting entries is March 31, 2012 and winners will be announced on April 15, 2012.
Connect-123 develops and administers career-related, challenging international internship, volunteer and study abroad programs for university students and graduates in a wide range of fields, including human rights, journalism, education, business consulting, entrepreneurship, health care and sustainable development.
