AirTran Airways adding Milwaukee flights to Phoenix and Tampa

AirTran Airways said Wednesday that it is adding Milwaukee flights to Phoenix and Tampa, Fla., during the upcoming cold winter months.Three daily roundtrips between Phoenix and General Mitchell international Airport in Milwaukee will start Dec. 13, while two daily roundtrips between Tampa and Mitchell will launch March 8, 2011.

Orlando, Fla.-based AirTran (NYSE: AAI) is also adding a daily roundtrip between Tampa and Key West, Fla., beginning March 10, along with roundtrips between Akron/Canton, Ohio, and Orlando starting Dec. 21 and roundtrips between Baltimore/Washington and San Juan, Puerto Rico, beginning April 5, 2011.Low cost carrier AirTran is the second-largest carrier at Mitchell International.
