A triple punch of snow, rain and freezing temperatures is causing chaos in Germany.Airport officials say at least 650 flights have been canceled at airports in Berlin and Frankfurt. The air traffic control agency says Berlin's airport will be closed for incoming flights until Friday morning because of a shortage in de-icing fluid.
A Swiss company that makes the liquid says the unexpected quick onset of wintry conditions caused shortages across the continent.There are reports of hundreds of traffic accidents across Germany and miles-long traffic jams. One person died in a crash along the French border.In Paris, airports are running smoothly again a day after 4 inches of snow caused flight disruptions. But traffic problems continue on the roads. The city isn't used to that much snow.And in Scotland, officials have called in the army to help clear snow and ice after the heaviest snowfall since 1963 paralyzed the country's capital.
