British Airways is to launch additional flights to the Canadian city of Toronto, the carrier has announced.The news comes via a press release issued on Thursday, which said that new journeys between Heathrow airport and Toronto’s Pearson International airport would be added to the existing schedule on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays beginning on 31 March 2013.
The new flights will utilise one of the flag carrier’s recently updated Boeing 767-300 aircraft and bring the firm’s total number of weekly roundtrips to Toronto to 17. Passengers can now book seats on the new frequencies in World Traveller, World Traveller Plus and Club World classes.Officials from the Heathrow-based firm said in the release that the flights will operate from Terminal 5 at the London hub, providing Canadian travellers with increased access to the carrier’s long haul destinations including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Istanbul, Paris and Rome.The news comes just after the BA announced that it was to continue expanding service to Asia in 2013 via the launch of nonstop flights between Heathrow and the Chinese city of Chengdu. The service will begin 22 September via a four-class Boeing 777 aircraft.
