Yemenia Flight 626, a flight from Yemen to comoros crashed in the Indian Ocean according to reports from avaiation officials in Yemen, Tuesday. The has been no report on the fate of the 154 people on board inclusing 143 passengers. Lately it seems there is a plane going down every week or less. What the heck is going on? This is the second Airbus 330 to go down in 29 days. The NTSB is already investigating Airbus A330 after two different flights lost speed and altitude. A flight from Miami to Brazil on May 21 and a flight from Hong Kong to Japan on June 23 both experienced problems. Add to that, the France Flight 447 an Airbus 330 that went down in the Atlantic Ocean on June 1 and now the crash today of the reported Airbus 310 and I can't help but see a pattern.
Get these planes out of the sky! I can tell you this, you won't see my butt on airbus anytime soon. Why are these things still in the sky? I don't ever remember 4 incidents like this happening within a little over a month with the same type of plane. Heck, I don't ever recall planes falling out of the skies at this rate.
I have never been afraid of flying. I don't fly a lot, but I have no fear of stepping onto a plane, even turbulence has never bothered me. But right now, I'm not so sure. The worst part is I live near an airbase so there are always 130's going overhead. This never bothered me before, no matter how low they were flying, but lately I find myself sighing a bit of relief after they pass.
Am I the only one noticing this? Was I just not paying attention before? Or are there mooe planes going down all of a sudden?
