A Chinese airline is planning to revolutionize budget travel by selling standing tickets on flights. The seats would actually be bar stools with a safety belt fastened around the waist Spring Airlines is reportedly considering the bold move in an effort to handle its growing number of passengers.

The move would reportedly trim airline costs by 20 percent, pack 40 percent more people in the plane and lower airfares.The airline says it will submit its plan to regulators soon.
