Delta Airline to start 3weekly flights from Detroit to London

Atlanta based Delta Air Lines Inc. is adding three non-stop weekly flights from Detroit Metropolitan Airport to London’s Heathrow Airport starting Oct. 31.That boosts Delta’s Detroit-London flights to 10.The new flights will depart Detroit on Mondays, Wednesday and Saturdays, the airport said in a statement.Flights will be on a 216-seat Boeing 767, which has 36 seats in Business Elite and 180 in economy.Bookings will be available online starting Saturday.The carrier also is adding four weekly flights between Atlanta and London, which will operate on alternate days with the new Detroit flights.Delta is the largest carrier at Metro, which is the airline’s second largest hub.
