Emirates has announced that it will operate daily flights from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to Hong Kong, effective October 1, 2010.The airline will operate the new flight to Hong Kong via Bangkok with an Airbus A380. The return flight will be operated as EK385. The airline has said that Hong Kong will be its 11th A380 destination.
Richard Jewsbury, senior vice president of commercial operations for Far East and Australasia, said:We are very excited to announce Hong Kong as a new Emirates A380 destination. This commercially-vibrant metropolis became part of Emirates's ever expanding network back in 1991, and today we operate a double-daily flight between Hong Kong and Dubai, one non-stop and one flight via Bangkok. We also operate 18 weekly Emirates SkyCargo freighter services.
