Bearskin Airlines said Tuesday it will start offering five flights each business day as of May 1 between Waterloo International Airport and Dorval’s Trudeau International Airport.Montreal will be the 18th city served by the airline founded in 1963 and named for the northern Ontario town of Bearskin Lake.The carrier said it will fly 19-passenger Fairchild Metroliners.
Of the five round-trip flights on business days, three will be non-stop and two via Ottawa.The carrier said it would save flyers up to four hours on a round trip, compared with using Pearson Airport in Toronto.Regular one-way business fares will range between $158 and $499 plus taxes and surcharges,the company said.Senior discounts, student standby fares, meeting and convention fares and periodic sale fares will also be offered. To celebrate the launch of this new service, fares are available for sale until April 30 starting at $119 one way plus taxes and surcharges.
