University of Washington gets Donation for overseas study abroad

FREDERICKSBURG, Va.- A 1972 graduate of the University of Mary Washington has given the school $1 million to support students seeking to study aboard.University President Rick Hurley announced the sum Monday from a donor who asked to remain anonymous.

The university says the donor wants to increase the percentage of undergraduate students who study abroad or participate in international learning experiences.The university's Center for International Education administers 16 partner programs, along with more than a dozen faculty-led overseas trips.
