Virgin Atlantic Airways has launched its first direct flight between Manchester and Las Vegas.A Boeing 747-400 aircraft will operate a twice weekly service on Thursdays and Sundays.
These two extra flights will see an additional 40,000 passengers flying to the destination a 30% increase of Virgin Atlantic’s capacity to Las Vegas.The airline already operates a daily service between Gatwick and Las Vegas.
Chief commercial officer Julie Southern said:Advance sales of this new route have been incredibly strong, so we're confident of success as we build up our services from Manchester.The new flight (VS085) will depart from Manchester International airport on Thursdays and Sundays at 1215 and arrive into McCarran Airport, Las Vegas at 1450 the same day.The return flight (VS086) will depart Las Vegas on Thursdays and Sundays at 1720 (local) arriving into Manchester at 1105 the following morning.
