JetBlue Airways launch flights to Tampa International Airport and New York's LaGuardia

JetBlue Airways will launch flights between Tampa International Airport and New York's LaGuardia Airport with two flights and Tampa and Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., with one flight on June 11.The new flights will be possible through JetBlue's recent acquisition of landing slots at the busy airports in New York and Washington through a Federal Aviation Administration auction.For Tampa, the additional flights enhance competition between airlines already serving LaGuardia and Reagan National, which generally keeps air fares low.

Including us as part of this expansion is testament to JetBlue's belief in the vitality of the Tampa Bay region," said Chris Minner, vice president of marketing at Tampa International.JetBlue is offering one-way fares from $79 between Tampa and Reagan National and $99 between Tampa and LaGuardia through March 12. The fares offered at jetblue.com are good for travel between June 11 and July 31, with blackout dates from June 29 to July 9.JetBlue began serving Tampa International Airport in 2000, and offers more than 80 flights a week from Tampa with nonstop flights to Boston; Newark, N.J.; Westchester County, New York; New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
