Students can take support abroad

Danish students who missed out on a place at a Danish university can receive up to 50,000 kroner a year in support from the government to study abroad, reports DR.While a record number of students were accepted into Danish universities this year, almost 8,000 applicants did not manage to find a place to study.

But it’s not the end of the academic dreams as, according to the Danish Agency for International Education, Danish students can take their student stipends to foreign universities the only condition is that the course has to be approved by the Ministry of Education.University fees can also be covered by international scholarships, drawn from money the Danish universities normally receive from the government to cover the cost of their education. As many as 8,500 Danes study abroad in exchange programs every year and almost 3,500 complete their entire education abroad almost a third of which head beyond Europe to study.
